Still Voyage

Still Voyage is an original abstract stainless steel sculpture with a mirror-polished finish and a quiet, boat-inspired form.

Its long, low body appears to glide just above the surface, while a smaller crescent-shaped element rests lightly above it. Together, the two forms create a poised dialogue between vessel and traveler, shelter and open water, stillness and forward movement.

The Artwork

The title Still Voyage carries two meanings. “Still” suggests calm and stillness, but it can also suggest continuing—still moving, still exploring, still finding a way forward.

Rather than depicting a literal boat, the sculpture reflects on an inward voyage: moving without haste, meeting change with composure, and continuing forward with quiet resilience.

The mirror-polished surface gathers the colors, light, and movement of its surroundings. Its reflections and visual character shift throughout the day and change as the viewer moves around the work.

Material And Finish

Made from mirror-polished stainless steel.

Each sculpture is individually fabricated and finished, so subtle variations may occur. These small differences are part of the individual character of each work.

Limited Edition

This design is offered in a limited edition of 10 sculptures in total, including all custom sizes.

Each work is individually signed and numbered and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Custom dimensions may be commissioned within the edition, subject to availability. Each custom-sized sculpture uses one of the 10 edition numbers.

The horizontal proportions make this version suitable for display on a console table, sideboard, office credenza, gallery plinth, or dedicated display pedestal.

Display And Outdoor Placement

This version is designed primarily as a freestanding indoor tabletop or pedestal sculpture.

For outdoor placement, please contact me before ordering so the location, stainless-steel specification, installation method, and maintenance requirements can be evaluated.

Coastal salt spray, swimming-pool chemicals, and other chloride-rich environments require additional consideration and regular maintenance.

Care

Handle the mirror-polished surface with clean gloves or a soft cloth. Remove fingerprints using a clean microfiber cloth and a cleaner suitable for polished stainless steel.

Do not use steel wool, abrasive pads, or aggressive polishing compounds. If exposed to water, wipe and dry the surface to reduce water spots and mineral deposits.
