The Paused Moment — Original Polished Stainless Steel Abstract Sculpture (Created circa 2019)
This is an original abstract sculpture handcrafted from polished stainless steel. It is a LIMITED EDITION of only 10 pieces, with custom sizing available within this limited series. Every piece is handmade, each with subtle unique surface reflections, the mirror finish continuously transforms with surrounding light.
The Artwork
The sculpture captures The Paused Moment, freezing a fleeting instant of delicate equilibrium. A large split circular crescent anchors the composition, cradling a central sphere. Rising vertically from the sphere is an elongated, tapered form, nested with pairs of rounded bulb elements nested within its hollow slit.
Solid mass and empty negative space interplay throughout the whole work. The highly reflective polished surface mirrors its surroundings; light shifts across curved planes, creating ever-changing reflections when viewed from different angles. It expresses the stillness of balance, where upward momentum is held suspended at the moment before movement unfolds.
Material
Crafted from high-gloss polished stainless steel. Its mirror-like reflective surface captures ambient light and surrounding environment. This sculpture suits indoor display perfectly for home, lobby, office, studio and gallery spaces. Not recommended for permanent outdoor placement.
